Q. What is the policy regarding Covid-19

Q. Do you have a reception and what time does it operate?

A. There is no reception. We have electronic keypads fitted to doors. All our bookings are made online. We then send out electronic key codes to the main front door and the same for your allocated rooms by email. This means you are no longer restricted to times of arrival, having to queue to get your keys etc.

Q. What is the children policy?

A. Children 5 years and over welcome but not in the Dorms. Please ensure there is an adult staying in the same room and they are supervised throughout the building

This differs for Sole use of the building

Q. Do you offer breakfast and meals?

A. No we are room only & Sole use of the building is self-catering, with complimentary Tea/Coffee for your arrival  

·         There are various cafe's, restaurant's, pubs that serve food approx. 5-minute walk away towards the Town Centre

Q. How do I get a receipt for payment?

A. If booked directly with us or through Hostelworld and its affiliated companies, we will send you a receipt by email.

·         Booking.com, Air BnB, home away, Trip advisor and expedia will give you a receipt as we do not handle their payment transactions

Q. If I book directly with you, is there any hidden fees or card charges

A. No and we have better prices than our agents such as Booking.com, Air BnB, Hostelworld etc.

Q. What's the cancellation policy

A. 3 days

Q. What is the arrival time?

A. All guests are welcome to arrive after 4 pm

Q. Can we drop luggage off earlier than 4 pm

A. Yes of course but please contact us first to arrange this

Q. Can I speak to a member of staff if needed?

A. Of course, there is a Volunteer ‘James’ living on the premises who cleans and checks security etc. (He is not responsible for any booking or policy issues). He is normally found on the ground floor. Or you can contact the proprietors in an emergency with the telephone number displayed on the Reception door and on the front door.

If you have booked sole use of the building you will need to contact us by Telephone for any questions

Q. Is there a curfew?

A. No but the building is situated in a quiet street and sound travels! 

Q. Do you have Parking?

A. No we do not have parking – but we can assist you by supplying a map to show where the parking restrictions end and public car parks. See above

Q. Can we bring cycles

A. Yes - We have a rear secure courtyard covered by CCTV bring your own chain/padlock

We do not allow cycles to be taken to bedrooms or left in communal areas of the building.

Q. Do you allow pets?

A. Sorry no we do not

If you have booked sole use of the whole building – Speak to us first

Q. Where do I find everything?

A. Please see the 'Welcome Pack' in each room

Q. What do I get regarding bedding/Towel?

A. We supply anti-allergy bedding. Sheet, Duvet, Duvet cover, pillows (2 pillows each) and pillowcases. You also get a bath towel (Not for beach use)

The beds are made for your arrival only.

Your rooms will be deep cleaned prior to you using them

We do not have a turn down service and we cannot clean your room during your stay except Dorms. We have provided cleaning items throughout the building. If you run out of Loo rolls etc just ask.

Q. Is there a Kitchen to prepare and cook meals etc.

A. At present no due to COVID regulations except Sole use of the building

Q. Is there heating?

A. Yes there is heating in each room. The instructions are in each room

Q. Do you have Fans for hot weather?

A. No we do not, we do not mind you using your own battery-operated fans 

Q. Do you have reading lights?

A. Yes, we do on most beds

Q. Can we bring guests into the building?

A. Sorry no, only paying guests are permitted onto the property due to both our Insurance and Fire regulations

Q. Do you have hair dryers?

A. Sorry no. 

Q. Do you have an iron and ironing board?

A. Yes in the room off the kitchen

Q. Do you have laundry facilities?

A. Sorry no but there is a laundrette nearby 

Q. Do you have Wi FI or a TV etc.?

A. Yes on the ground floor, social distancing is in place 

Q. What is the checkout time?

A. Check out is from the building prior to 1030 am

Q. Can we stay later into the day?

A. Sorry no - A lot of guests request late check out on the day of departure – We are sorry, but this is not possible as our cleaners have set hours. Please consider booking an extra night if you wish to leave late in the day. 

Q. Is there a left luggage facility?

A. It may be possible, please ask James the Volunteer, there is a charge
